When Brian Clifford, Alexandria Wallace Adair, Drell Floyd, Patti Carroll, Kimberly Calcote, Robert Verell, Michelle Petree Sutton, and Stevie Giorno decided to run together as the Williamson County Conservatives ticket for the March 4th Williamson County Republican Party Reorg, it was with the common goal of not allowing the Williamson County Republican Party to be used as a tool to Cancel Your Right - along with the rights of the Military, Police, Firefighters, Working Moms, Pregnant Moms, Young Republicans, College Republicans, and all Tennesseans - to Vote in Local Primary Elections.
When the Williamson County Conservatives PAC was founded to work in support of that ticket, it was with the same goal.
Both the PAC and the candidates knew we couldn't let Your Right to Vote be thrown in the trash.
After the misdeeds occurred on March 4th, the plan by the other side became self-admitted: They wanted to use caucuses in Williamson County and around the state to Cancel Your Right to Vote in local primary elections.
So both the candidates and the PAC continued the fight.
After the misdeeds occurred on March 4th, and were then furthered on April 12th by the TNGOP State Executive Committee, we kept up the fight.
(Of course, now that the contest and appeal are over, the eight are no longer candidates but conservative citizen activists that speak for themselves while this grassroots PAC of Williamson County Conservatives will continue the fight to keep Williamson County conservative Red through vibrant grassroots organization and mass communications that speak for the PAC.)
During the course of the campaign and its aftermath, it became apparent to us and obviously the Tennessee General Assembly, that we needed to codify existing practice of voting in primaries for local offices into law.
While Protecting the Right to Vote in local elections has been an issue that has been floating around the General Assembly for over 3 years, it took the eyes of Conservative legislators and Conservative activists being drawn to a previously unthinkable movement in Williamson County and ALL AROUND TENNESSEE that dark forces were seriously working to Cancel the Right to Vote in local primary elections to stir real action.
We did that. We brought the eyes to this issue.
Our campaign shined that light on an important issue, because – again - prior to our campaign the idea was almost unfathomable.
Because of our fight, your fight, and the fight of so many others in Tennessee:
WE WON THE WAR TO ENSURE THE RIGHT TO VOTE IN LOCAL ELECTIONS!!!
The Tennessee General Assembly passed Senator Jack Johnson's and Representative Lee Reeves' SB799/HB855!
We thank Rep. Reeves and Senator Johnson for filing this legislation (and to Rep. Jake McCalmon for Co-Sponsoring) and the members of the General Assembly that voted for this legislation!
We want to thank all of them for joining us in the fight to ensure OUR RIGHT TO VOTE!
We thank the 8 individuals who ran on the Williamson County Conservatives ticket for stepping up to fight for this sacred Right to Vote.
We thank all of you who supported us and continue to support this Grassroots Conservative PAC.
We will continue to be here to take up every important fight for Williamson County and the Conservative Cause. We look forward to seeing you at our events and working with Republicans in Williamson County to keep our County... and our Tennessee, Red!
Like President Trump is working to Make America Great Again, we are working to Keep Williamson County Great!
We are the Williamson County Conservatives, THE ONLY Grassroots Conservative PAC in Williamson County.
We are fighting to keep Williamson County as the haven for Conservative Republican principles that it is. We will never let the Democrats take over our Williamson County, Tennessee!
